I’m sorry I’ve not kept more in touch with you all since Justin, Hannah and I have arrived in Hong Kong. I know some of you follow Facebook and may have been getting some updates through that but I thought I would send a quick update. We have had long days in searching and praying throughout Hong Kong as to where God would lead us. It truly has been amazing how the Lord has been guiding us in our search by preventing us from making wrong choices that appeals to our natural desires while guiding us in His Peace towards areas that we would not naturally choose for ourselves.

We have searched throughout different territories in Hong Kong and the Lord keeps leading us back to a little tourist area by day and by late night where witchcraft, prostitution, drug users/dealers and gang activities ramp up. Initially my reactions are the same as the locals that have advised us to look elsewhere but for some reason God is leading us back to this little old apartment. It is an old building but clean for Hong Kong standards and is situated across a divided highway so any immediate dangers are limited. We are seriously considering renting this place and plan on putting some work into getting it functional for us. It has no A/C so we need to install a few window units, a washer, fridge and install some cabinets in the kitchen. It’s about 900 sqr/ft which is also larger in comparison to many Hong Kongers so there is going to be a lot of adjustments of lifestyle here. By God’s Grace I know we will continue to be molded and shaped by Him for His Glory! 🙂

By the time you received this, Heather should be on the plane with Nathanael and Ellie heading to Hong Kong. We would covet your prayers for her safe travels and finding favor with immigration on the Hong Kong side as we have been hearing that they do not like foreigners (mainly Mainlanders from China) to have babies here. Also providing strength to travel that distance with little ones since it is a rough trip even for adults with no kids and not being pregnant.

Although we are out here all the way on this side of world, we know we are not alone because we have felt your faithful prayers and count all of you as part of our team! Please also pray that we would continue to be sensitive to His leading to where He wants to plant us. Also do let us know how you all are doing and how we can be praying for you guys too. 🙂
